Harvest Moon®: Echoes of Teradea Switch 2 vs PC vs PS5: which version to buy

Last updated 2026-10-18. Checked against the sources below.

Nintendo Switch 2 Edition advertises enhanced resolution, smoother frame rates, and faster loading over the base Switch game. The checked sources do not provide measured resolution or fps targets. PC, PS5, and Xbox are alternatives, but store requirements are not a cross-platform benchmark.

What reviewers actually wrote

Video Chums tested Switch 2, awarded 8.3/10, and was generally satisfied with performance while reporting occasional later-game frame-rate drops. Game8’s first-impressions review, updated on 16 October and rechecked on 18 October 2026, criticizes pop-in and performance dips on the original Switch. Its score remains TBD. These are different platforms and different verdicts, not measurements of the same build.

Owners of the base Switch game can choose the $10 Upgrade Pack instead of buying the $59.99 Edition again. Nintendo’s promised improvements do not establish a fixed fps or a comparison with PC or PS5. Choose based on hardware, portability, and price; no verified benchmark here ranks those three.

Source checks

The base Switch listing’s compatibility statement describes running that version on Switch 2; it does not describe the enhanced Switch 2 Edition. The separate Edition and Upgrade Pack pages were checked on 18 October 2026. Review observations below are attributed to the tested platform; this site has not performed frame-rate or loading benchmarks.
